Overview

Quantify ZnT8 autoantibodies specific to R 325 or to W 325 or to residue 325 non specific variants

Use as serological markers in type 1 diabetes mellitus

Benefits

  • ACCURATE AND RELIABLE ENZYMATIC ASSAY

Assay principle: sandwich

ZnT8 molecules are coated onto the ELISA plate wells. ZnT8-biotin complexes constitute the liquid phase. ZnT8-Ab from the sample bound to the ZnT8 coated onto the well will also interact with ZnT8-biotin to form a bridge. Addition of streptavidin peroxidase (SA-POD) detects the bound ZnT8-biotin. The unbound SA-POD in excess is washed off before the addition of the peroxidase substrate TMB.

Assay procedure: Overnight (16h-20h) at 2-8°C + 1 h at 2-8°C + 20 min RT / shaking + 20 min TA in the dark.
